1. How to determine the location of the electromagnetic flowmeter well

How to determine the location of the electromagnetic flowmeter well

1. It should be kept away from strong magnetic field equipment.

2、 Avoid places with strong vibrations and corrosiveness.

3、 Pipelines that do not allow flow interruption in the process should be equipped with shut-off valves and bypass pipelines when installing flow meters.

4、 There should also be a certain straight pipe section upstream of the flowmeter sensor, usually between 5D and 10D. 5. It can be installed horizontally, vertically, and diagonally, but it is necessary to ensure that the measuring tube is coaxial with the width of the skillful rolling process pipeline and that the measuring tube is always filled with liquid. 6. The measuring tube, housing, shielded wires of the leads, and the pipelines at both ends of the sensor must be reliably grounded and must not be shared with the grounding of other electrical equipment. This is a special installation requirement for electromagnetic flow meters.

2. Precautions for installation of split type electromagnetic flowmeter

When installing a split type electromagnetic flowmeter, attention should be paid to key points such as vertical installation, prevention of foreign object interference, avoidance of negative pressure, and reserved maintenance space. Specifically, the vertical installation and fluid direction sensor should be installed vertically, and the fluid direction should flow from bottom to top.

. This installation method ensures that solid particles (such as sediment and small stones) in the solid-liquid mixture remain suspended, avoiding sedimentation that may block

the measuring tube or adhere to the electrode, thereby ensuring measurement accuracy. If the fluid flows horizontally or from top to bottom, solid particles may deposit at the bottom of the measuring tube, causing signal distortion or equipment damage. Preventing foreign objects from interfering with fish and weeds: If there may be fish or weeds in the pipeline, their movement or attachment near the electrode can cause fluctuations in the output signal of the flowmeter (such as back and forth oscillation of the output value). A metal filter screen needs to be installed at the upstream inlet of the flowmeter to intercept foreign objects entering the measuring tube. Solid particles: For media containing solid particles, vertical installation can reduce the risk of sedimentation, but it is still necessary to regularly check the filter screen and the inner wall of the measuring tube to avoid particle accumulation affecting the measurement. Avoiding the risk of negative pressure: If the upstream and downstream valves of the flowmeter are closed at the same time, and the fluid temperature is higher than the ambient temperature, the contraction of the fluid after cooling may cause a decrease in pressure inside the pipe, forming negative pressure. Negative pressure can damage the internal structure of the sensor (such as peeling off the lining and metal conduit, electrode leakage). Protective measures: Install a negative pressure prevention valve near the flowmeter. When the valve is opened, it can be connected to atmospheric pressure to balance the pressure inside the pipe. If a vertical pipeline is connected downstream, avoid using upstream valves to regulate flow, otherwise negative pressure may form inside the measuring pipe
