What the Meter Does
An air flow volume meter measures gas flow in real time. The electronic totalizer adds that flow into a totalized volume. This gives plant operators both instantaneous rate and total consumption over a shift, a batch, or a billing cycle.

Meter Selection for Industrial Gas
Thermal mass flow meters work well for compressed air, nitrogen, and clean dry gas because they respond directly to mass flow. Vortex flow meters fit clean gas and some steam applications. The final choice depends on pipe size, moisture level, pressure, and minimum flow rate.

Installation Notes

Mount the thermal probe at the pipe center line. Do not install the meter directly after a pressure regulator or an elbow. If the gas is wet, install a moisture separator upstream.

Yes. The totalizer stores both real time flow and accumulated flow. Most units show standard cubic meters per hour and total standard cubic meters.
Which meter works for wet or dirty biogas?
A thermal mass flow meter can handle some moisture but not liquid slugs. For saturated or dirty gas, use a vortex meter or install a flow conditioner and moisture separator upstream.
